Director International Services Dr. Christoph U. Eichel is appointed Managing Director of Result Group GmbH.

The Result Group cooperates with the Hannover University of Applied Sciences and Arts. The aim of the cooperation is to identify and work on theoretical and practically relevant research content on the subject of personality and crime. Proactive measures such as applicant checks, background checks, vulnerability and crime analyses and information protection concepts are indispensable for the defence against criminal dangers. The research cooperation supports the fight against crime with innovative energy.

The Result Group is the oldest owner-managed company of its kind in Germany. It has established itself as a leading international consulting firm for risk and crisis management. Experts from the Result Group advise governmental and non-governmental international organisations, multinational companies as well as exposed persons and their families in the defence against criminal attacks.

The Result Group becomes consortium leader of the multi-year VISIT project (Victim Support for Identity Theft), a European project to combat identity theft.

The Result Group cooperates strategically with A3M Global and MD Medicus and founds TRISAVO. This holistic concept for travel risk management focuses on protecting the health and ensuring the safety of employees of medium-sized companies, corporate groups and insurance companies working abroad.

On behalf of the Result Group, Forsa and the F.A.Z. Institute for the study “Criminal Risks in SMEs – Dangers, Damages and Prevention” are interviewing German companies about damage caused by economic crime and particularly vulnerable areas. And also what preventive measures these companies take against them.

The Result Group carries out multi-year projects on behalf of the European Commission. These include ISDEP, a project for the early detection of radical tendencies in the fight against terrorism, and other projects in countries such as Albania (anti-corruption), Nigeria (maritime security), Afghanistan (risk assessment), Algeria and Cambodia (victim and witness protection programmes), Mexico, Colombia, Rwanda and Iraq.

The Result Group acquires an office building on Lake Starnberg south of Munich and relocates its headquarters there. With around 600 square metres of floor space, Result Group is well positioned for further growth.

Reinhold Robbe, former member of the German Bundestag and military commissioner, becomes director of the German Institute for Democracy Development and Security (DIDES), a subsidiary of the Result Group. Today, DIDES is fully integrated into the governance division of Result Group.

The Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development, Dirk Niebel (FDP), opens the Berlin office of the Result Group.

Walfried Sauer advises the then Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle on delegation trips to Colombia and Mexico. This was followed by further delegation trips to Bolivia, Colombia and Peru with the Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development, Dirk Niebel.

The Result Group opens its office in Hamburg and establishes the maritime security sector. On behalf of major shipping companies, it protects merchant ships from attacks by pirates, especially in the Gulf of Aden. In the course of this, it is the first company internationally to be granted the licence specified by the Federal Office of Economics and Export Control (BAFA) for protection against violent crime and ransom piracy on the world’s oceans.

The Result Group opens its office in Brussels and creates the Governance Security division. It is entrusted by the EU Commission with numerous mandates dealing with security sector reforms in developing countries.

In the crisis regions of the world, the mostly German-speaking customers of the Result Group face special challenges. The Result Group therefore establishes an international network of specialists who can quickly support their customers on the spot. Crisis counseling and reactive measures, for example in kidnapping and extortion, evacuation or personal and project protection in risky areas, have since become part of everyday life.

The Result Group establishes a 24/7 hotline that can be reached around the clock from anywhere in the world. Customers and their employees can report criminal attacks and medical emergencies. They receive immediate support and experts’ advice from Result Group crisis managers.

With the founding of the Private Security Solutions division, the Result Group responds to the desire of many entrepreneurs to extend their service to their private security. New security concepts enable holistic protection without visible invasions of privacy. Many of these clients have been loyal to the Result Group for more than a decade.

The Result Group is developing a holistic concept for protection against industrial espionage, especially in medium-sized businesses. It supplements its consulting services with preventive and reactive measures against the theft of company and trade secrets.

Walfried O. Sauer founds the Result Group, with large retail groups among the first clients. The Result Group takes on the first consulting mandates for setting up crisis management organizations and advises on attacks caused by organized crime.
